Wedding at the Atrium - Atlanta, Georgia
A wedding day that captures deep joy, beauty, and loving emotions. Photos taking you into the wedding day as if you were a guest yourself.
Jacob & Beatriz… and how we met.
Some history, Beatriz had reached out to me on a site for finding wedding vendors. I saw the inquiry and in it, she said she was in Georgia and I thought she had found me by mistake. I declined. Thankfully, I had told her to go to my website if I was mistaken and she did.
Once we got to chat more I got to know a bit more of her and Jacobs's story. She’s from Brazil & he’s from Georgia and currently, she’s in Utah for school. They met online while playing a popular video game League of Legends and have been in love ever since getting to know each other. She then clarified the wedding would be in Georgia and they’d love to hire me and fly me out… I gladly said yes.
The Proposal
I mainly had to chat with Beatriz through the booking process and didn’t get the opportunity to get to know Jacob. Luckily, he reached out with a proposal… on his proposal. He had my number and texted me and wanted to ask if we could set up their official engagement proposal while he visited from Georgia. I was very happy to say yes.
He had asked if there were any good spots for a proposal while he and Beatriz were in Park City. I found this beautiful spot for him just off of main street. A pathway surrounded by high piles of snow and overhanging string lights. Calling it a perfect spot felt like an understatement.
The day and evening came and it went perfectly. They walked in from the street and it was like a fairytale moment. The joy and emotion was beautiful. It was great for me to get to meet this awesome couple and learn more about them. Very kind and joyful, and very excited to walk down the aisle and say yes to a commitment to spend each other’s life with one another.
The Day
Windy & Rainy. Not the duo you want to hear on your wedding day but Jacob & Beatriz’s love for each other was all that mattered under the weather conditions. The Ceremony was moved indoors into the reception area. Still a beautiful sight with chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a beautifully hand-crafted arch covered with flowers. The Atrium was beautiful inside and out.
Guests were sat and the wedding party walked down the aisle and took their spots awaiting the bride. Then, emotional joy happened. Beatriz was arm in arm with two of Jacob’s family members leading her down the aisle. Crying every step of the way, so happy and full of emotional love. Everyone in the room had a hard time keeping a dry eye (which I don’t think anyone did, me included.)
The rest of the ceremony was more of that, joyful and emotional. Every word of Beatriz’s vows was so happy and said while tears were streaming down everyone’s faces. But laughs, smiles, and warm-hearted moments were all that were had. The kiss was perfect and met with big applause. Sealing a new happy marriage.
We then captured the family & bridals outside. I stood in the rain to capture the couples and all their family & wedding party photos while they were covered above with the building’s architecture. I got lucky to capture some of the beautiful grounds with the couple even on this rainy day. I looked like I had just taken a shower in my clothes but it was very worth it to help out this amazing couple on their day.
The reception went by quickly for me because of just how many beautiful moments there were to capture. The first dances in both the original dress anthe a party dress were beautiful. Speeches & toasts went perfectly. DJe dj didn’t let up all night, amazing song after amazing song, and including the couple’s and guest’s suggestions. It all was just too easy to capture with all the dancing and smiles going around. Lastly, guests gathered outside under a small awning with rain pouring down hard. They blew bubbles as the couple walked through them and under an umbrella to their car.
It was a day to remember for everyone.
