Logan Canyon Utah Sunset Engagement Shoot
Capture love in the outdoors.
Pines, light snowfall, and warm fall colors are all the makings for a beautiful engagement.
Ben & Gracie made this shoot turn into one for the books. We aimed for a dreamy aesthetic that transports viewers into the heart of nature, where lush greenery and soft sunlight embrace every frame.
Ben & I go back to 7th grade. He was the new kid at the school and soon became a part of my friend group. We weren’t extremely close, but having him reach out to take his engagements felt like an honor to have been chosen. Getting to catch up on life and find out what his life had been like all these years was fantastic. A huge joy to see someone from my past and get to reconnect and be a part of their wedding journey.
We originally picked Tony Grove up Logan Canyon which proved to have its challenges. Upon arrival, snow was coming down from the mountain peaks and we were surrounded in every direction. We drove a good few minutes down the mountain and settled into this wide open area which had multiple views to offer. Light snow came down still but brought a sweet early winter feel to this mid-fall shoot.
The shoot was perfect, just the four of us. Ben & Gracie, and me & my camera. I had Ben & Gracie run around doing tons of poses and just exploring the area together. Trying to capture them as if I wasn’t there and get them as authentically as possible. Getting them to be… them and just have fun together. They also opted for some serious photos, going for a moody look. Those turned out to be some of my favorites of the shoot.
