Dallas, Texas Backyard Wedding Day Photography
My first time in Texas was full of bbq, humidity, and a lovely wedding day. Wouldn’t change a single thing.
I had the amazing opportunity of meeting Dylan and Hope the previous year, back in Utah.
Dylan had booked his proposal photos with me, and I got to capture that important moment for them. Some time had passed, and they reached out again and wanted to know if I would travel to Texas to photograph their wedding. I couldn’t have been more excited and very enthusiastically said yes. I packed my bags and headed to Texas that May. My time there was amazing.
You’ll see the photos here in just a moment, but I was completely clueless as to what neighborhoods or anything in Texas looked like. All I’ve seen are movies that emphasize the small Texas towns that feel like they’re covered in dust with dirt fields surrounding them as far as the eye can see. I did remember hearing everything is bigger in Texas, though, and oh boy, did they not lie. The home of the wedding was a dream. The large pillars and columns outside make you feel like you’re looking at a monument.
A backyard of any kid’s dreams, too, a pool, grass meant for running around in, and with tall trees surrounding the property, making you feel like it’s just you there. Everything about the space was adding up to make a lovely wedding day, and it very much was. The couple said their I do’s and it felt like they couldn’t be separated all night. Most of my photos of them after the ceremony are side by side with guests, family, and dancing away the evening together.
I really do live for these types of weddings and to travel with my work. I’m overjoyed that my work could take me across the country, but ultimately, I’m here to serve every couple needing photos on one of the best days of their lives.
